About the role

The Hypermarket Buyer will lead the procurement function for a major retail outlet in Dubai, ensuring a high‑quality product assortment that meets customer demand and drives profitability. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, negotiate with suppliers, and use market insights to shape the buying strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive pricing, using analytical tools to guide purchasing decisions.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to align product selection with promotional campaigns and seasonal demand.
• Monitor stock levels, perform inventory audits, and use inventory management software to minimise excess stock and avoid stockouts.
• Analyse sales data to evaluate product performance and adjust buying strategies for maximum profitability.
• Prepare purchasing reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics and strategic insights.
