IT Desktop Support Engineer – Backfill (Dubai)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Desktop Support Engineer to join our team in Dubai on a backfill basis. You will provide on‑site infrastructure support, ensuring hardware and software issues are resolved quickly while maintaining warranty and security compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide field support for IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware, software and operating system problems.
• Install, configure and repair desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Perform smart‑hand activities and lift equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Deliver desk‑side PC break/fix support and basic administration of Windows, macOS and Linux OS.
• Diagnose network issues using TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and RDP.
• Analyze repeat calls, develop preventive actions and manage problems.
• Use ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy to track incidents.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on IT support experience.
• Ability to work independently or within a team and meet deadlines.
• Associate degree in Electronics or related field preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification; OEM certifications (Dell, Lenovo, HP, etc.) are a plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules.
