IT Manager - Enterprise Business Applications

About the role

The IT Manager – Enterprise Business Applications is the technical lead for the organisation’s collaboration and DevOps platforms. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will own architecture, governance and lifecycle management of Atlassian and DevOps tools while driving continuous improvement and vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain target architecture, operating model and roadmap for Jira, Confluence and related enterprise applications.
• Lead the applications team, prioritize demand and translate business, security and compliance requirements into scalable platform solutions.
• Architect, administer and optimise Atlassian Cloud/Data Center instances, including projects, workflows, permissions, automation and licensing.
• Govern Azure DevOps, GitLab, Bitbucket and Bamboo environments, managing repositories, pipelines, agents, access controls and release workflows.
• Design and maintain APIs, webhooks and middleware integrations across identity, monitoring, security, CRM/ERP and other enterprise systems.
• Provide senior oversight for Linux‑hosted services (RHEL/Ubuntu, JVM/Tomcat, Nginx/Apache, databases, storage, clustering, backup and hardening).
• Establish standards for Bash/Python automation, configuration management, log analysis and disaster recovery.
• Define support models, monitoring dashboards, capacity planning and runbooks; lead outage resolution and root‑cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with SSO/SAML/SCIM, segregation of duties, audit logging, data protection and vulnerability remediation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a technical lead for enterprise collaboration and DevOps platforms.
• Strong background in Linux‑hosted application services and infrastructure engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional teams, vendors and licensing agreements.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on security, resilience and continuous improvement.
