About the role

Apt Resources is looking for a passionate Junior Chef specializing in sushi to join the culinary team of a prestigious 5‑star luxury hotel on the Red Sea. This full‑time position offers the chance to develop Japanese cuisine skills in a high‑end hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of sushi and other Japanese dishes following established recipes and techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station to ensure hygiene and safety standards.
• Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food preparation tasks.
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality.
• Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Help manage inventory and stock levels to avoid waste.
• Contribute positively to the kitchen team, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork.
• Stay up‑to‑date with sushi trends and culinary techniques.

Required profile

• Previous experience or training in Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi preparation.
• Passion for food and a willingness to learn and grow within the culinary field.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Must be currently residing in the UAE.
