Lab Accessioner - Anatomical Pathology

About the role

The Lab Accessioner supports the Laboratory and Pathology function by receiving, verifying, and processing anatomical pathology specimens. The role ensures safe, accurate, and timely handling of samples in line with M42 health and safety policies and international regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify, and process specimens according to SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Label, document, and transfer samples to the appropriate laboratory departments.
• Maintain compliance with DHA, DOH, MOH, CAP, ISO 15189, JCI, EIAC and other accreditation standards.
• Support efficient workflow implementation and assist in workload and resource assessment.
• Participate in incident reporting and investigations related to laboratory operations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a related healthcare field.
• Knowledge of specimen handling, safety standards, and infection control practices.
• Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation standards such as DHA, DOH, MOH, CAP, ISO.

Required skills

• Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP).
• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) awareness.
