Legal Compliance Manager

About the role

Huawei is seeking a Legal Compliance Manager to strengthen its legal and regulatory compliance framework across business operations in the United Arab Emirates. The role will ensure adherence to applicable laws, advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, and promote a culture of compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on business operations.
• Identify compliance obligations and support business units in assessing and mitigating legal and compliance risks.
• Conduct compliance reviews of contracts, commercial agreements, policies and business activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, external counsel, industry associations and key stakeholders.
• Lead investigations and resolution of compliance‑related matters while ensuring confidentiality and corporate governance standards.
• Develop and deliver compliance awareness programs and training initiatives.
• Provide practical legal guidance to support business decision‑making.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to continuously improve compliance processes and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law with a valid legal practicing qualification or Bar admission.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in legal compliance, corporate governance, regulatory compliance or legal advisory.
• Excellent knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance principles.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Chinese and/or Arabic language skills highly preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational and cross‑functional environment.
