Legal Counsel – Mid‑Level (UAE)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified mid‑level Legal Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support for our business operations across mainland and free‑zone entities in the United Arab Emirates. The role is designed for a practising lawyer who can work independently and collaborate with multiple internal departments.

Key responsibilities

• Independently draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts such as supply, distribution, logistics and warehousing agreements.
• Prepare legal documents including claims, complaints, court submissions and other correspondence.
• Manage and support litigation and dispute‑resolution matters, coordinating with external counsel when required.
• Provide legal support for up to ten UAE entities across mainland and free zones.
• Advise internal stakeholders on day‑to‑day legal issues and work closely with various business departments.
• Utilise electronic document approval and contract workflow systems.
• Monitor UAE legal developments and assess their impact on company operations.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of legal experience, preferably with exposure to UAE law.
• Experience in retail or trading is an advantage.
• Proven litigation and dispute‑handling experience.
• Demonstrated ability to draft contracts, claims and statements of claim independently.
• Strong legal research capability with reference to applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across departments.
• Knowledge of UAE employment law, DIAC procedures and English law principles for supply contracts is a plus.
