Legal Manager (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

The Legal Manager will provide expert legal counsel across the company, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, statutes and regulations while minimizing legal exposure. This role requires bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic to support business units and manage legal risk.

Key responsibilities

• Advise all business departments on legal matters, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
• Conduct legal research, formulate opinions, and develop strategies for cases filed for or against the company.
• Manage litigation and dispute resolution from inception through enforcement, including drafting instructions for external counsel.
• Review, negotiate and draft a wide range of contracts such as insurance, reinsurance, lender documents and settlement agreements.
• Maintain custody of original agreements and update standard contract templates to reflect legal changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree minimum; professional qualification from the Chartered Insurance Institute preferred.
• 8‑10 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years in an international law firm or a prominent regional in‑house legal department.
• Full professional proficiency in both English and Arabic.
