Macro Portfolio Manager

About the role

Our client seeks an experienced Macro Portfolio Manager to lead an Emerging Markets Macro strategy from Abu Dhabi. You will manage a substantial capital allocation, drive risk‑managed investment decisions, and collaborate closely with a global team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute portfolios that capture global macroeconomic themes, aiming for asymmetric returns with low correlation to traditional markets.
• Independently manage a large capital pool, overseeing the full investment cycle from research to execution and monitoring.
• Conduct deep geopolitical and fundamental economic analysis of emerging economies to uncover unique opportunity sets.
• Implement rigorous risk‑management practices, continuously evaluating position merits and investment theses.
• Collaborate within a global team, sharing insights and integrating collective expertise into the investment process.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on portfolio management experience, preferably at a hedge fund.
• Proven track record in Emerging Markets Macro with a Sharpe Ratio above 1.5.
• Strong decision‑making ability under pressure and a collaborative, humble attitude.
