About the role
We are looking for an experienced Payables Accountant to join our finance team on a two‑year contract. The role involves daily invoice processing, supplier reconciliations and supporting dispute resolution in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Record supplier invoices accurately and ensure all required documentation and approvals are in place.
- Perform regular reconciliations of supplier statements, identify discrepancies and take corrective action.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve invoice disputes.
- Maintain compliance with financial regulations and internal accounting policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional certification (MBA, MCom, CPA, CA) is a plus.
- 3‑4 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably within the trucking or logistics sector.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
