Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover) – Aug to Dec 2026

About the role

Deira International School (DIS) is seeking qualified Primary Teachers for KS1 and KS2 to cover maternity leave from August to December 2026. As an Outstanding KHDA‑rated school, DIS offers a vibrant, inclusive environment where teachers inspire learners aged 3‑11.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom that supports the diverse needs of over 90 nationalities.
• Collaborate with senior staff to ensure curriculum continuity during the cover period.
• Utilise school’s digital platforms to record student progress and communicate with parents.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development and extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with experience teaching KS1/KS2 in an international setting.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and primary assessment practices.
• Commitment to holistic, student‑centred learning and high academic standards.
• Ability to work effectively within a multicultural team.
