Retail Sales Assistant – Market Hall

About the role
The Sales Assistant works in the market hall of IKEA Jebel Ali, helping customers find products, driving sales, and ensuring a welcoming store environment. You will support the shopkeeper with daily operational tasks while delivering the high‑standard customer experience IKEA is known for.
Key responsibilities
- Meet or exceed weekly sales targets.
- Participate in all market‑hall inventory counts.
- Provide customers with up‑to‑date product information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales floor.
- Greet customers promptly with a friendly attitude.
- Complete duties assigned by the shopkeeper and attend store meetings.
- Follow IKEA policies and procedures fully.
- Work flexibly with peers and management to achieve store goals.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of retail sales experience.
- Strong verbal communication and customer‑service orientation.
- Physical ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and lift stock as needed.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and adapt to flexible hours.
