About the role
The Sales Assistant is a key member of the store team, responsible for driving sales and delivering an excellent customer experience in a Toys "R" Us environment.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, provide product information, and thank them on exit.
- Generate sales through attentive service, manage fitting rooms, and promote add‑on items and gift cards.
- Maintain store cleanliness, visual standards, and perform housekeeping duties.
- Handle cash transactions, keep the cash wrap tidy, and capture customer data.
Required profile
- High school diploma.
- 1‑2 years of retail sales experience.
- Ability to stand for at least 8 hours and perform some heavy lifting.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CAD packages such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Illustrator or Photoshop.
- Experience using sales management and customer database software.
