Risk Manager – AD Representative for RCH & RIE (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The Risk Manager will support the Head of Risk for the RCH and RIE entities, building and operating credit, market, liquidity, counter‑party, operational and technology risk methodologies. This senior, hands‑on position is the first hire for a dedicated risk capability in the ADGM entities, translating FSRA expectations into working controls.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, maintain and operationalise risk policies (Risk Management Framework, Credit, Margin, Collateral, Stress‑Testing) and map them to FSRA rulebook obligations.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions and engagement, preparing prudential reports, tracking information requests and drafting notifications.
• Own the risk analytics toolkit, including KRI dashboards, risk registers, taxonomy and governance reporting.
• Design and run the quarterly stress‑testing programme, including scenario calibration and reverse stress testing.
• Develop margin and collateral risk methodologies, calibrating haircuts and monitoring concentration metrics.

Required profile

• 10+ years of risk management experience in regulated financial institutions such as investment banks, exchanges or prime brokerages.
• Strong quantitative background with hands‑on experience in stress testing, VaR, tail‑risk and collateral haircut modelling.
• Proven ability to work with risk data engineering, exposure aggregation and data‑quality remediation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of producing decision‑ready papers and presenting to senior management.
• Self‑starter who can define frameworks in ambiguous environments and thrive in a high‑growth, highly regulated setting.
