Sales and Marketing Manager

About the role

Hitachi Energy is looking for a motivated Sales and Marketing Manager to drive sales growth and market expansion within the Oil & Gas sector. You will own the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure, while ensuring customer satisfaction and long‑term partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage pipelines, provide accurate sales forecasts, and achieve aggressive revenue targets.
• Lead cross‑functional capture teams to create competitive, differentiated bids and solutions.
• Define bid pricing, positioning, and channel strategies to maximise competitiveness.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategies and optimise go‑to‑market plans.
• Provide technical expertise on grid optimisation and security solutions, delivering tailored proposals.
• Promote products and new technologies through seminars, workshops, trials and proof‑of‑concept initiatives.
• Lead technical and commercial negotiations, close deals and support post‑sales operations.
• Build and sustain relationships with EPCs, end‑users, consultants and other key stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes and customer needs, translating insights into actionable strategies.
• Report sales activities, pipeline health and forecasts to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 8‑10 years of sales and marketing experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving aggressive sales targets.
• Ability to manage complexity, lead change and thrive in fast‑paced environments.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

• Technical knowledge of grid optimisation and security solutions.
