Sales Assistant – Sports

About the role

GMG is seeking a motivated Sales Assistant to join its Sports division in Dubai. You will be the front‑line representative, helping customers discover and purchase sport‑related products while delivering exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Describe product features, demonstrate usage and educate customers on brand standards.
• Advise shoppers on the best product range for their needs and answer queries.
• Provide information on warranties, specifications, maintenance and care.
• Handle cash, credit payments and generate invoices/receipts accurately.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of new launches, promotions and pricing.
• Achieve sales targets through up‑selling and cross‑selling techniques.
• Process returns, repairs and follow after‑sales procedures.
• Support store merchandising, product placement and housekeeping standards.

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a focus on quality and satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently, set performance goals and pursue personal development.
• Attention to detail, especially in cash handling and inventory control.
• Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards.
