Sales Executive – Cement Industry

About the role

As a Cement Sales Executive you will be the face of the company to institutional buyers, dealers and project managers, driving bulk supply contracts and expanding market share across regional construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate directly with customers to negotiate and finalize sales agreements in line with company policy.
• Monitor sales targets, volume lifting and credit facilities on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure continuous profitable relationships.
• Coordinate with finance to assess customer financial health and facilitate smooth transactions.
• Provide sales administration and dispatch teams with accurate delivery requirements, locations and off‑loading schedules.
• Resolve customer complaints and gather market intelligence on competitor activities and pricing trends.
• Analyse market data, project pipelines and price movements to identify new business opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics or Science.
• 5–7 years of experience in the cement industry.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of cement grades such as OPC 43/53, PPC and PSC and their applications.
• Understanding of concrete mix design, setting times and compressive strength testing (ASTM, IS, EN standards).
• Ability to troubleshoot basic on‑site technical issues.
• Inventory and lead‑time forecasting to prevent stockouts.
• Logistics and freight cost optimisation for bulk and bagged cement transport.
