Sales Manager – Groups & Events

About the role

The Sales Manager – Groups & Events is responsible for achieving hotel revenue targets by managing an assigned account base and prospecting new clients in designated markets. Performance is measured against revenue goals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key accounts within an assigned geographic area, maximizing revenue and increasing market share versus competitors.
• Prospect and acquire new accounts, including government segments where applicable.
• Conduct site inspections, follow up tentative bookings, and ensure timely contracting and SMART rate negotiations.
• Attend trade shows, sales blitzes, and workshops in the assigned markets.
• Assist the Director of Sales in defining and executing the annual sales action plan and budget forecasts.
• Document all sales actions in the SFA system and keep the OPERA contact database up to date.

Required profile

• University graduate or higher college education, preferably with a hotel apprenticeship.
• Minimum two years of sales experience, preferably in a 4‑ or 5‑star hotel environment.
• Excellent oral and written English; additional language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Proficiency with Micros Fidelio Opera and Sales & Catering systems.
