Senior Accountant – Immediate Hire

About the role

GLOMACS, a leading international provider of professional training and consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join its expanding global finance team. The role will focus on managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring UAE tax compliance, and strengthening internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and related regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review VAT returns, corporate tax schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain and enhance internal accounting controls and financial governance.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, and financial analysis.
• Optimize accounting processes using Odoo ERP and contribute to system improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including senior‑level responsibilities.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP (or other ERP systems).
• Expertise in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Financial Reporting.
• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations and Internal Controls.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and FTA regulations.
• Sound understanding of IFRS.
