Senior Accountant

About the role

United Engineering Construction (UNEC) is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. The role focuses on directing accounting workflows, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, and delivering accurate financial reporting for construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations and manage general ledgers across multiple construction project accounts.
• Process journal entries, perform complex account reconciliations, and audit transactional records.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements, project cost reports, and management accounts.
• Utilise Epromis ERP to streamline accounting processes and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Facilitate internal and external audit schedules, financial reviews, and period‑end closing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 8–12 years of UAE accounting experience, specifically within the construction and contracting sector.
• CPA or CMA professional certification is highly preferred.

Required skills

• High proficiency with Epromas ERP (Epromis) system.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting frameworks, budget monitoring and project accounting.
