Senior Business Development Manager - Mid Market

About the role

Coface, a global trade credit insurer, is hiring a Senior Business Development Manager for its mid-market business in the UAE. The role supports sales efforts with a focus on the UAE, delivering new business for credit insurance and other Coface products. It is based at the Sukoon Insurance office in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver new business sales to meet individual targets and budgeted targets for credit insurance.
• Liaise with the Commercial Department so that underwriting follows Group and UAE rules and standards.
• Build awareness of the credit insurance market in the assigned region to generate leads and secure profitable business.
• Identify opportunities across all Coface product lines and convert internal leads.
• Develop a network of introducers and a panel of general insurance brokers in the region.
• Work with Commercial Underwriting, Marketing and Client Services teams on leads and client service.
• Generate and follow up leads and appointments through networking, prospecting and Coface marketing resources.
• Update and maintain the CRM system, manage relationships with prospects, introducers and internal stakeholders.
• Price cases with the PEPS pricing tool, produce contract documentation, and carry out KYC and UBO checks on all policies sold.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Business or a related field.
• Proven sales experience of at least 7 years; TCI industry experience is desirable.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets and building long-term relationships.
• Understanding of compliance in a regulated environment.

• Strong sales negotiation and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of contract structures to balance price and risk.
