Senior Commercial Counsel – METAPSA & EECA

About the role

TikTok is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Counsel to join its Global Monetization Legal Team in Dubai. You will act as a legal advisor and business partner for sales, marketing and monetisation functions across the METAPSA (Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Pakistan and South Asia) and EECA (Eastern Europe and Central Asia) regions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and partnership to TikTok’s sales, marketing and monetisation teams in METAPSA and EECA.
• Lead negotiations and draft a wide range of agreements, including sales contracts, trading and partnership agreements, sponsorships, service provider contracts, creative asset agreements, competition terms, and NDAs.
• Advise on legal and regulatory issues affecting monetisation and sales operations in the covered regions.
• Monitor advertising standards, compliance requirements and emerging laws related to advertising, marketing and user‑generated content.
• Respond to ad‑hoc legal queries from cross‑functional teams and coordinate responses to advertiser and agency questionnaires.
• Develop and maintain legal templates, playbooks, and knowledge‑management resources.
• Lead process‑improvement projects, global streamlining initiatives and participate in cross‑regional working groups.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in commercial law.
• Background in both private practice and in‑house roles supporting sales, marketing or commercial functions.
• Proven ability to work quickly, manage competing priorities and deliver high‑quality legal work under tight deadlines.
• Strong understanding of advertising standards and regulatory environments in METAPSA and EECA.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
