Senior Real Estate Auditor – Audit & Assurance

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Real Estate Auditor to join Deloitte’s Audit & Assurance team in Dubai. The role involves leading audit engagements for real‑estate development companies, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Deloitte’s purpose is to make an impact that matters, delivering innovative insights and building confidence in the markets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial statement audits, internal control assessments and compliance reviews for real‑estate developers.
• Evaluate the accuracy and completeness of financial records related to land acquisition, construction costs, revenue recognition and asset valuation.
• Assess accounting policies applied to real‑estate projects, including cost capitalization, impairment testing and fair‑value measurement.
• Review contracts, joint ventures, lease agreements and other legal documents to identify audit risks and ensure compliance.
• Identify and evaluate risks of material misstatement, including fraud risks, and design appropriate audit procedures.
• Analyse project budgets, cost tracking and cash‑flow management to verify financial integrity.
• Prepare clear and concise audit reports detailing findings, recommendations and required actions.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented professional with experience auditing real‑estate development companies.
• Strong technical audit skills and in‑depth knowledge of the real‑estate development industry.
• Ability to assess complex accounting policies and evaluate internal controls.
