Senior Resident Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The Senior Resident Engineer will lead construction supervision and contract administration for major stormwater drainage and irrigation infrastructure projects in Dubai, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, quality standards, HSE regulations and local authority rules.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site supervision of stormwater drainage, irrigation, pumping stations and related civil works, monitoring progress against schedules and milestones.
• Review and approve contractor submissions such as shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and inspection requests.
• Administer the construction contract, handling variations, claims, payment applications and extensions of time.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, utility providers and authorities (Dubai Municipality, RTA, DEWA, etc.) to resolve technical and contractual issues.
• Conduct site meetings, inspections, testing, commissioning and handover activities, ensuring QA/QC procedures are followed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred); professional engineer registration and PMP certification are advantageous.
• Minimum 20 years of infrastructure experience, including at least 10 years as a Resident Engineer or Senior Resident Engineer.
• Proven track record with stormwater drainage, irrigation networks, pumping stations and large‑scale civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE/GCC construction practices.
