Specialist Civil Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Specialist Civil Engineer to ensure technical assurance and compliance of the contractor’s civil discipline work on a major project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves reviewing, approving and verifying discipline documentation, supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, and ensuring alignment with company standards, codes, and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve civil‑discipline documents, securing technical authority for Class 1 deliverables.
• Participate in progress meetings with the contractor and lead design review sessions.
• Resolve technical queries and evaluate concession requests with justified decisions.
• Support procurement by reviewing vendor documents and related contracts.
• Inspect construction and commissioning works, manage punch‑listing, and release certifications.
• Verify final documentation and database completeness at hand‑over.
• Champion project safety culture and engage in safety activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in civil engineering within EPC/FEED projects.
• Familiarity with relevant governing codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Ability to interpret and review calculations, specifications, plans, and surveys.
• Preference for candidates with PMC and ADNOC project experience.
