Staff Physician – Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking a Staff Physician specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. The role involves direct patient care within the Neurosciences department, delivering diagnosis, treatment and preventive services while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and provide care to patients in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialty.
• Prescribe or administer medication, therapy and other specialized medical interventions.
• Analyze records, reports and test results to diagnose medical conditions.
• Gather comprehensive patient histories and explain procedures, test results and treatment plans.
• Perform specific treatments or operations as appropriate for patient conditions.
• Document patient evaluations and coordinate referrals to other medical staff.
• Collaborate with medical and non‑medical staff to ensure high‑quality, culturally sensitive patient care.
• Adhere to ethical, regulatory and clinical privilege guidelines.
• Participate in administrative duties such as committees, task forces and performance improvement initiatives.
• Provide on‑call coverage as required.

Required profile

• MD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent qualification.
• Valid medical license/registration in home country or last place of employment.
• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience for Tier 1 candidates or 5 years for Tier 2 candidates.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
