Steward – Hotel Food & Beverage

About the role

The Steward joins the Food & Beverage team at an EDITION hotel in Downtown Dubai, ensuring a clean and safe environment for kitchen and service areas. This full‑time, on‑site role supports daily operations by maintaining hygiene standards and handling back‑of‑house logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dish‑washing machines, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect, and sanitize kitchen surfaces, tools, knives, tables, and storage areas using detergent, rinsing and sanitising chemicals in a three‑compartment sink.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock and ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate locations.
• Inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items; re‑scrub and re‑wash any items that do not meet standards.
• Break down dirty bus tubs, empty trashcans, manage dumpster area and recycle cardboard and glass.
• Clean and mop all assigned department areas, and maintain a safe, organized work environment.

Required profile

• No high‑school diploma or prior experience required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, sit and reach overhead for extended periods.
• Commitment to follow company safety, security and quality policies.
• Clear, professional communication and teamwork orientation.
