Store Manager – Supermarket (Emirati Talent)

About the role

The Store Manager for a supermarket within MAF Retail will lead day‑to‑day operations, ensuring exceptional service and efficient processes. This position drives sales growth, maximises profitability and supports sustainable business expansion across the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Implement supermarket strategies, policies and operational plans in line with MAF Retail objectives.
• Analyse sales, profitability and operational metrics to identify revenue‑enhancing and cost‑optimising opportunities.
• Manage merchandise and inventory, ensuring stock availability, pricing consistency, waste reduction and minimisation of shrinkage.
• Oversee service functions including asset maintenance, hygiene, health & safety compliance and customer‑service standards.
• Lead, coach and develop the supermarket team, setting performance objectives and coordinating training initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, operational procedures and continuous‑improvement programmes.

Required profile

• Proven ability to achieve strong financial performance (turnover, net profit, margins, transaction growth).
• Experience in minimising waste and shrinkage while maintaining effective inventory control.
• Track record of maintaining high merchandising standards and product availability.
• Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence.
• Commitment to hygiene, safety and security standards across supermarket operations.
• Leadership experience in developing talent through coaching and training.
