Summer Internship - Strategic Communications

About the role

FTI Consulting's Strategic Communications segment designs, develops and executes communications strategies for clients facing financial, regulatory and reputational challenges. This UAE-based paid summer internship gives exposure to a range of sectors, clients and communications disciplines over an eight-week programme, working alongside experienced consultants on live client assignments. The internship runs from June 14 to August 20, 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Support client teams on day-to-day strategic communications programmes and advisory work
• Research and analyse industries, stakeholders, media landscapes and emerging issues
• Help develop communications strategies, key messages and stakeholder engagement approaches
• Draft press releases, briefing notes, talking points, Q&As and other client content
• Monitor and analyse traditional and digital media coverage and assess communications impact
• Support preparation of client meetings, executive engagements, speaking opportunities and events
• Contribute to new business proposals, research and pitch development

Required profile

• Penultimate year of study (graduating in 2028) with a 2:1 degree or equivalent
• Available for the full 10-week internship from June 14 to August 20, 2027
• Interest in business, current affairs, communications and the issues shaping organisations
• Understanding of traditional, digital and social media

• Excellent writing, analytical and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
• Organisation, time management and attention to detail, able to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to work under pressure and summarise complex issues clearly
