Tactical Controller – Aviation Operations

About the role

The Tactical Controller joins VistaJet’s Operations Control Center (OCC) to manage the tactical phase of flight operations, from the day of operation through post‑flight activities. Reporting to the Head of OCC, the role ensures the fleet runs smoothly by handling real‑time changes, irregularities and coordination with crew and ground teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a full tactical overview of the entire fleet on the day of operation.
• Update and manage the daily tactical log and movement control records.
• Track flights, monitor ATFM restrictions and re‑route aircraft as required.
• Handle irregular operations, including delays, diversions and last‑minute changes.
• Monitor crew briefing acknowledgements and perform crew activations or wake‑up calls following VistaJet procedures.
• Coordinate ground arrangements and obtain necessary permits for each flight.
• Communicate operational updates to relevant stakeholders throughout the tactical phase.

Required profile

• Strong situational awareness with the ability to monitor multiple flights simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for timely coordination with crew, pilots and ground teams.
• Ability to make quick decisions under pressure and adapt to changing flight conditions.
• Detail‑oriented approach to logging and tracking operational data.
