Technical Sales Engineer – Piping & Fittings

About the role

We are looking for a technically proficient Technical Sales Engineer specializing in piping and fittings to act as the bridge between customers and internal teams. The role supports business development while delivering sound, commercially viable solutions across water, industrial, infrastructure and energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand project requirements and propose suitable piping solutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, project owners and end‑users.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, BOQs and cost estimates.
• Support tender submissions, pre‑qualification documents and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, isometrics and GA layouts using AutoCAD.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project execution and operations teams to guarantee technical accuracy.
• Attend site visits, inspections and technical clarification meetings.
• Provide after‑sales technical support and monitor market trends and competitor activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Pipeline or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–4 years of experience in technical sales of piping systems or pipeline infrastructure projects.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).
• Experience with water infrastructure, utilities, industrial or oil & gas sectors is preferred.
• Familiarity with EPC contractors, consultants and government infrastructure projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing interpretation.
• Ability to read and analyse P&IDs, isometric and plant layout drawings.
• BOQ preparation, estimation and tender/bid management.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, fittings, valves and related standards (ASME, ASTM, API, AWWA).
• Technical proposal development and cost estimation.
