Technology Supplier & Cost Management Specialist

About the role

The Manager, Cost & Supplier Management will lead technology spend governance and supplier performance across Etihad’s Digital Technology & Innovation portfolio. Working closely with Technology, Finance, Procurement and Business teams, the role ensures cost transparency, maximises value from technology investments and drives sustainable savings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end visibility and governance of technology expenditures across software, cloud, infrastructure, telecom, managed and professional services.
• Develop and maintain spend forecasts, financial models, dashboards and executive reports to support budgeting and decision‑making.
• Build business cases and conduct commercial evaluations (TCO, ROI, NPV, IRR, payback) for technology projects and transformation programmes.
• Lead contract negotiations, renewals and supplier management activities to optimise commercial value and service performance.
• Establish supplier governance frameworks and conduct regular performance reviews covering delivery, compliance, risk and innovation.
• Identify and execute cost‑optimization initiatives across licensing, cloud services, infrastructure and workforce spend.
• Track a technology savings portfolio to ensure realisation and sustainability of financial benefits.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Legal and Business stakeholders to support strategic sourcing and investment decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in technology finance, IT commercial management, vendor management or strategic sourcing.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with proven ability to analyse complex cost structures.
• Excellent analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
