Trader – Household & Personal Care (HHPC)

About the role

SOLEVO is seeking an experienced Trader to join its Household and Personal Care (HHPC) segment. The role focuses on direct‑sales trading of commodity and semi‑commodity chemicals, requiring rapid pricing and offer delivery to sales teams and clients within 24 hours.

Key responsibilities

• Target customers and increase SOLEVO’s share of wallet in assigned countries and segments.
• Identify and pursue new trading opportunities to grow the HHPC business.
• Execute the full trading cycle – sourcing, negotiation, and sales – for chemicals in the HHPC segment.
• Provide rapid pricing to sales teams and direct clients, acting as the commercial contact in strategic territories.
• Assess customer financial strength, propose credit terms, and follow up payments with Finance.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients to secure favorable terms.
• Collaborate with Execution, Purchasing, Logistics, and Sales teams to optimise the supply chain.
• Travel up to 30 % of the time as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in trading, commercial or sales roles within chemical distribution, commodities or related industries.
• Strong understanding of international trade, logistics and supply‑chain processes.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with quick turnaround times.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
