Tunnel Engineer – TBM Survey Specialist

About the role

Parsons Corporation is looking for an experienced Tunnel Engineer with a focus on TBM surveying to supervise and review survey works for tunnel and gallery construction in Dubai. The role supports the Tunnel Resident Engineer and ensures that all survey activities comply with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily and weekly survey reports, including trend analysis of alignment deviations.
• Monitor TBM tunnelling operations, performing alignment checks and surface monitoring (settlement/heave).
• Establish and maintain primary and secondary control networks inside the tunnel and transfer surface control points through shafts.
• Review and calculate TBM guidance data, laser target extensions, and alignment inputs.
• Conduct 3D measurements for tunnel alignment before and after breakthroughs, as well as during break‑in and break‑out phases.
• Support wriggle and as‑built surveys, ensuring accurate data collection and documentation.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings, method statements, and survey‑related documents.

Required profile

• Proven experience on metro projects involving TBM operations.
• Ability to supervise and review survey works for tunnel and gallery construction.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and design specifications for underground works.
