Arabic Teacher – Maternity Cover

About the role

We are seeking an Arabic Teacher to cover a maternity leave at Yasmina British Academy in Dubai. The role involves delivering high‑quality, inclusive Arabic lessons to primary‑age students, fostering a nurturing and play‑based learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Arabic lessons that meet the UK/US curriculum standards and cater to a range of abilities.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum support staff and specialists (e.g., speech therapists) to support student development.
• Assess, record and analyse student progress using the school’s Target Tracker and provide constructive feedback to pupils and parents.
• Maintain effective classroom management in line with the school’s behaviour policy.
• Participate in extra‑curricular activities, school events and weekly ECA sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom Arabic is not a first language.
• Passion for whole‑child education, strong professionalism and a clean DBS check.
• Ability to use hybrid/distance learning platforms and other learning technologies.
