Inventory and Equipment Specialist – IMEEA Region

About the role

The Inventory and Equipment Specialist supports the Logistics Department by implementing the logistics budget and managing stock and container flows for the assigned region. You will ensure equipment availability, optimise fleet usage, and contribute to cost‑efficiency initiatives across depots and terminals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate equipment evacuation according to Head Office guidelines and regional priorities.
• Analyse forecasts and export requirements to maintain optimal equipment levels in depots and terminals.
• Monitor container supply, demand, idle full and empty containers, dwell time and stock levels, identifying risks and proposing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Agency Logistics, Operations, depots and terminals to reduce idle time, optimise storage and support cost‑efficiency.
• Identify vessel back‑loading opportunities and work with Head Office, Regional Operations and Cargo Flow teams to maximise empty loading and discharge.
• Contribute to logistics cost optimisation, imbalance management, empty repositioning and storage cost reduction projects.
• Ensure proper use of CMA CGM Group logistics systems and compliance with procedures and reporting standards.
• Prepare weekly and monthly equipment reports with highlights and recommendations for regional management.
• Support process, tool and system improvements by gathering business requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in container management at an agency or regional office level.
• Strong understanding of equipment flow and logistics operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience within a shipping line in a similar role.
