Offshore Methods / Installation Engineer

About the role

ISS International Spa is looking for two Offshore Methods / Installation Engineers to join its Asset Engineering team in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on engineering, upgrading and maintaining equipment on offshore construction and installation vessels for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, basic and detailed engineering designs for new vessel equipment and upgrades.
• Support the Asset function during vessel maintenance activities and dry‑dock periods.
• Collaborate with HSE engineering to review scopes as required.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations and follow‑up with vendors.
• Provide technical management support to shipyards, overseeing engineering to works supervision for new vessels and equipment upgrades.
• Liaise with classification societies (ABS, RINA, DNV) to obtain engineering class approvals when needed.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in asset engineering for offshore vessels.
• University degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to work onsite in Abu Dhabi for a 12‑month period.

Required skills

• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as ANSYS, MSC NASTRAN and SACS.
• Knowledge of industry codes and design guides (API, DNV, ISO).
• Experience supervising steel construction works and offshore equipment maintenance.
