Senior Estimation Engineer (Civil & Interiors)

About the role

The Senior Estimation Engineer will lead the estimation process for civil and interior fit‑out projects across Dubai and Sharjah. The role focuses on analysing tender documentation, preparing accurate quantity take‑offs, developing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and building competitive bid estimates to support project acquisition and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender drawings, structural specifications and architectural documents to define the bidding scope.
• Perform precise quantity take‑offs and material measurements from civil and fit‑out drawings.
• Prepare comprehensive BOQs and itemised cost breakdowns.
• Analyse material, labour and equipment costs, keeping abreast of local UAE market rates.
• Source, review and negotiate commercial quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams during bid hand‑over to ensure alignment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on estimation experience in UAE construction and interior fit‑out sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes and Civil Defence regulations.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial formulas and estimation workbooks.
• Experience with specialised estimation/QS software.
