Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join Mira Construction in Dubai. The role involves leading commercial and cost management activities across large‑scale construction projects from the pre‑contract stage through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, cost plans and project budgets.
• Develop, review and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quantity take‑offs.
• Conduct cost analysis, monitor expenditures against approved budgets and produce regular cost reports.
• Value works, process interim payments and final accounts, and manage variations, change orders and claims.
• Support tendering and procurement, evaluate bids and subcontractor proposals.
• Negotiate commercial terms with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify commercial and financial risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement and finance teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost or commercial management on large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost planning, BOQ preparation, tendering, procurement and contract administration.
• Familiarity with FIDIC and other standard construction contracts.
• Professional working proficiency in English.

• Proficiency with cost management and quantity surveying software.
