Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our finance team, supporting day‑to‑day financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare asset, liability and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Document financial transactions by entering accurate account data.
• Recommend financial actions after analyzing accounting options.
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information and preparing reports.
• Audit documents to substantiate financial transactions.
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Guide accounting clerical staff, coordinating activities and answering queries.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies through detailed account analysis.
• Secure financial information by completing database backups.
• Prepare and post month‑end journal entries, including relevant accruals.
• Create templates to automate journal entry posting and reduce manual work.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and supplier reconciliations.
• Manage petty‑cash expenses and coordinate payments with management.
• Arrange check collection from customers, deposit checks in bank and update system records.
• Review and analyse financial data for reasonableness.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality, productivity and service.
• Utilise reporting tools to gain operational insight and propose resolutions.
• Prepare financial packets with statistics for controller review.
• Follow generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Prepare general‑ledger reconciliations for the annual audit.

Required profile

• B.Com degree (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of UAE experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with accounting software and spreadsheets.
