Accountant

About the role

Evernex, a global provider of used IT equipment, is looking for an Accountant who reports directly to the Finance Manager MEA. The role secures the right finance controls for the business and offers a lean, flat structure with significant independence. It covers the full accounting functions for the assigned entities, including monthly close, reconciliations and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Client invoicing, collections and follow-up on overdue accounts (Accounts Receivable)
• Supplier bookkeeping and payments (Accounts Payable)
• Monthly processing of employee expenses
• Bank and intercompany reconciliations
• Monthly financial closing and reporting
• Drive consistent policies and procedures during the monthly close, including account reconciliations, bookkeeping and accruals
• Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audit requirements and reporting
• Liaise with the external consultant on a timely basis
• Submit financial reports to the Finance Manager MEA in the reporting system

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration/Accounting
• 3 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting/finance
• Previous experience in tax filing (VAT, annual tax return, withholding)
• Detailed knowledge of accounting and other relevant reporting standards
• Fluent in Arabic and English
• Ability to work independently and think analytically

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Experience with accounting systems such as Zoho, QuickBooks, SAP or similar
