Accounting Manager (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on, highly motivated Accounting Manager to join our fast‑growing finance organization. This remote, player‑coach position reports directly to the Controller and combines day‑to‑day accounting execution with leadership of a small accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting packages.
• Supervise and mentor 1–2 direct reports, reviewing work for accuracy and fostering professional growth.
• Oversee general ledger integrity, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, prepaid expenses and accruals while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Identify and implement process improvements, support ERP optimization and automation initiatives in Sage Intacct.
• Coordinate external audit activities and assist with lender, private‑equity sponsor and other stakeholder reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting management, preferably in a private‑equity‑backed or high‑growth environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate variances and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
