Applied AI Intern – AI Tools & Automation

About the role

Ecomma, a fast‑growing private‑equity firm focused on ecommerce brands, is seeking an Applied AI Intern to explore, build, and implement AI solutions across the business. You will work closely with the AI team on practical projects, experimenting with AI tools, agents, and iterative development processes to improve workflows and automate repetitive tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Build, test, and refine AI‑powered tools, workflows, and agents.
• Experiment with large language models (LLMs), automation tools, and emerging AI technologies.
• Research and evaluate new AI models, APIs, and approaches.
• Identify opportunities where AI can increase efficiency and automate processes.
• Document experiments, results, and share findings with the team.

Required profile

• Strong interest in AI and emerging technologies.
• Basic understanding of Python or other programming languages.
• Familiarity with LLMs such as ChatGPT or Claude.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, iterate quickly, and learn from trial and error.
