Assistant Accountant

About the role

Al Haktur IT Solutions, active in the technology and IT services sector, is looking for an Assistant Accountant in Dubai. The role suits a detail-oriented person with basic accounting knowledge, good organisational skills and the ability to support daily financial activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting activities and keep accurate financial records.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other accounting documents.
• Record transactions in accounting software and update ledgers.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable, and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Reconcile bank statements with internal records and verify expense claims and supplier invoices.
• Support monthly financial statements, budgets and financial summaries, and help prepare records for audits and tax compliance.
• Maintain organised records of bills and receipts, file documents properly and coordinate with other departments for financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field preferred.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures; previous accounting or finance support experience is an advantage.
• Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal English, and ability to organise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new systems and to work both independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of UAE accounting practices and VAT documentation is an advantage.

Required skills

• Accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Bookkeeping, invoice processing and account reconciliation (preferred).
