Assistant Director of Nursing – Oncology

About the role

Black Pearl Consult is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing – Oncology to provide clinical leadership across oncology nursing services within a world‑class Cancer Center. This senior role will support the development and operational delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered oncology care.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in planning, implementation, and operational readiness of oncology nursing services.
• Lead, supervise, and develop oncology nursing teams to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.
• Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, clinical pathways, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and patient‑safety requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated oncology care.
• Support staff education, competency development, mentoring, and professional growth.
• Monitor nursing quality indicators, patient outcomes, and performance‑improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to evidence‑based oncology nursing practices and service development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred).
• 7–8 years of nursing experience with significant oncology exposure.
• Previous nursing leadership experience (Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager, or similar).
• Experience managing and developing nursing teams in a hospital or cancer‑care setting.
• Familiarity with chemotherapy, infusion, hematology, or other specialized oncology services.
• Demonstrated experience in quality improvement, clinical governance, and evidence‑based practice.
• Willingness to relocate to the UAE.
