Assistant HR Manager - Marine & Ship Repair

About the role

An engineering marine services provider based in Dubai is looking for an Assistant HR Manager with strong expertise in human resources. The role covers HR functions, policies and manpower planning, with a focus on the marine and ship repair industry.

Key responsibilities

• Develop objectives and actions to improve employee satisfaction, enhance and reduce employee turnover
• Prepare employee analyses for management
• Prepare the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for manpower planning, including forecasting new manpower such as salaries and recruitment
• Recruit technical manpower and design and manage compensation packages, benefits and reward systems
• Align HR strategy with business goals, including workforce planning, succession planning and organizational development
• Manage organizational change, such as restructuring, technological upgrades or shifts in market demand
• Analyze HR data to support decisions on workforce planning, turnover and employee engagement

Required profile

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience
• Must come from the marine and ship repair industry
• Leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills with employees at all levels, from blue-collar workers to senior management
