People Operations & Engagement Lead

About the role

Flatgigs is a shared services company within a group that builds the infrastructure behind AI, operating across nearly 40 countries. This role leads people operations across the ecosystem, from hiring and onboarding through to people governance, culture, engagement and employee experience. The group has no departments or managers, so the role creates the occasions that connect teams and teams of interest.

Key responsibilities

• Run quarterly engagement surveys, eNPS and new joiner check-ins, turning results into a clear picture of what each team wants
• Design the group's engagement calendar (weekly to annual) and coordinate sport and social, learning sessions, showcases, hackathons, all-hands events and cultural celebrations, plus recognition programmes
• Match audiences to training and coordinate coaching programmes, including annual people governance and culture training and new joiner inductions
• Create talent-facing events such as showcases, portfolio sessions, internships and best-practice sessions
• Produce a newsletter twice a quarter, manage the company's LinkedIn presence and run campaigns for exceptional people
• Work with the internal team to track monthly retention, enablement, satisfaction, pipeline and training completion, shared with leadership

Required profile

• An eye for how groups of people work, able to read a room and know which teams need bringing together
• Comfortable designing events that people want to attend twice, and adapting formats to different teams and time zones
• Able to interpret survey results and speak confidently with founders
• Good writing, able to follow an open brief and build much of the playbook yourself
• Ownership over years of experience; room to try things and keep what works
