Assistant Professor in Public Law

About the role

The College of Law at Abu Dhabi University is seeking a new Faculty Member at the level of Assistant Professor in Public or Private Law; Associate Professor is considered in special cases. The College offers a Bachelor of Law, Masters in Public Law, Private Law, Cyber Law and Artificial Intelligence, and a PhD in Law, with programmes accredited by CAA and WASC. Applicants should be able to teach in English and Arabic, though English-only applicants are also encouraged.

Required profile

• Doctoral or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution, with significant scholarly accomplishments in the discipline.
• At least three years of full-time teaching and research experience (with key publications) for Assistant Professor; at least eight years for Associate Professor.
• Demonstrated excellent teaching ability and active engagement with students inside and outside the classroom.
• Teaching qualification, or willingness to complete one under the UK HEA Fellowship Scheme.
• Commitment to publishing Scopus publications and evidence of engagement with research networks.
• Experience developing student activities and events, and a record of being a good university citizen.

Required skills

• Communication and presentation skills.
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office).
