About the role

The Department of Psychology at Abu Dhabi University seeks an Assistant Professor to join its full‑time faculty. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervise research projects, and contribute to the university’s academic mission.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality teaching across core and specialized psychology areas, including cognitive, developmental, social, and abnormal psychology.
• Prepare, update, and enhance course materials and curricula in line with international standards.
• Assess student performance, provide academic advising, and supervise research theses and projects.
• Engage actively in scholarly research, publish findings, and present at academic conferences.
• Participate in departmental service, curriculum development, and community outreach initiatives.
• Lead research initiatives in a specialized area to raise the university’s profile locally and internationally.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to student‑centered learning.
• Record of scholarly publications and conference participation.
• Ability to collaborate with professional and community organizations.
