Assistant Resident Engineer - Site

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Assistant Resident Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role you will work alongside the Resident Engineer to oversee construction activities, ensure compliance with project specifications, and maintain the highest standards of quality, safety, and technical excellence on site.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities, including enabling works and structural works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor quality, progress, safety, and compliance.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, shop drawings, method statements, and construction methodologies.
• Coordinate site activities between contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage and maintain site documentation, including inspection records, progress reports, photographic records, and handover documentation.
• Assist with project scheduling, progress monitoring, risk identification, and resolution of technical and site issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Substantial experience in mid‑rise to high‑rise building projects with a proven track record in site supervision and construction management.
• Strong managerial, leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
